There might be a possibility of the left/right hand path being reversed too.
As the right hand get promoted as right and the left hand being left behind.
“Some societies actually tied children’s left hands behind their backs to assure their adherence to right-handed dominance and thus cultural thought.
Cultural priests can neither predict nor control a person who operates from left-handed thinking; left-handed thinking has traditionally been considered the weak, threatening, and feminine (exposing male dominance of culture), which is to say that the left hand has been historically associated with death.
Myth and religion are full of left-right imagery, most of which reverses the cultural representation; that is, the left is the true life, and the right is the “broad way leading to destruction.”
In Norse mythology, the god Odin found the secret spring of wisdom and poetry and asked the guardian of the spring for a drink. The guardian replied: “The price is your right eye.” Jesus said if your right eye offends you, pluck it out; if your right hand offends you, cut it off. He said nothing of the left hand, for it represents the flow, the tao the father or mother {depending on your culture).”
