This episode is titled "Debunk This! - An Interview with Acharya S., Part 2" and is being released on Monday, June 20, 2010. My interview with Acharya S was recorded on June 19, 2010.
It has come to my attention that Dorothy Murdock passed on Dec. 25, 2015 - due to cancer.
One of the most controversial religious scholars in the entire world is my guest today, back for round two. And it's been more than a year since she was here last, and she's probably been scheduled for this part 2 for more than a year - and my guest is DM. Murdock - AKA Acharya S., the only woman that Christians love to hate more than Eve.
Are Christianity and the story of Jesus based on more ancient sun worshiping religions? Does the story of Jesus have its roots in Horus, the ancient Egyptian Sun god? Today we’ll be discussing Acharya’s brand new book – Christ in Egypt. Those of you who think Zeitgeist part 1 and Acharya’s work have been debunked, get out your library cards, because you’re going to have some homework to do.
D.M. Murdock, a.k.a. Acharya S, gained expertise in several religions, as well as knowledge about other esoterica and mystical subjects. She is the author of several books, including: The Christ Conspiracy: The Greatest Story Ever Sold, Suns of God: Krishna, Buddha and Christ Unveiled, Who Was Jesus: Fingerprints of The Christ and Christ in Egypt: The Horus-Jesus Connection.
An independent scholar, she majored in Classics and Greek civilization at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She has also served as a trench master on archaeological excavations in Corinth, Greece, and Connecticut, USA. She's a member of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, Greece.

I spent ten minutes looking around and could not find Part 1 of this Acharya S. interview.
We would be very grateful if you could tell us where it is in the Media Archives. Thank you.
There’s a search function. Just type her name.
Acharya in Part 1 does not show up via the search function. Only Part 2, a Store link, and Hawk and Venus: Megalomania.

Hello,
Thank you for pulling these from the archives, Jan. Much appreciated, and good timing [for me] in your presenting excellent research materials through their web sites and books. It occurs to me that a suggestion for an interviewee might be Chris White, recently interviewed by James, (link provided here: http://www.corbettreport.com/corbett-report-radio-238-debunking-ancient-aliens-with-chris-white/). While I am not a proponent of Zeitgeist, or the Ancient Aliens line of thought, this person clearly puts forth that most, if not all of Zeitgeist is a sham, and relies heavily on the validity of Christ as an historical figure, a true deity, etc. Might be a good opportunity to run his ‘facts’ and faith through your famous ‘Trivium Pursuit’. In any case, the session is worth checking out, and thanks again for all of your work. Be well.
Chris White is a joke, thanks. I’ve sent him primary ancient documents that disprove his lies and then he claimed that because the citation was from a Catholic, that it wasn’t a “real christian” and then he refused to pay up. The guy’s a hack and a fraud and is only selling his ministry and using radio interviews and his videos to increase his following. He will never be on here as his agenda is not for truth, but to expand his flock. He’s specifically stated that he will study NO scholars that are against Jesus being historical. He doesn’t apply the same critical thinking to his own beliefs as to others’. Maybe you might note that the reason these shows are even posted on the front page again is because of James Corbett’s horseshit interview with Chris. If you already listened to these interviews, you’d already know that we’ve addressed Chris White specifically.
Here is the text in which Chris tries to omit and lie about in his work… not to mention the Zeitgeist companion, and about 5 other books – with dozens more similar citations. Why does he omit the Zeitgeist companion in his debunking? Because it has all of the primary documents that reveal him as a fraud, and show how it was NOT AT ALL created in the 1700 and 1800 hundreds as he lies and claims. And as he personally has rejected this document because the author was a Catholic (and remember on James’ show he complained of people trying to debunk him because he’s a Christian… huh? He used the same ad hominem against Ephiphanius as he complains of being used against him. Pathetic. )
But I have checked it out, no it’s not worth it, and I was so nauseated by his lies I was screaming at the speakers.
Sorry, but I don’t interview known hacks and liars, much less Christians whom are just trying to increase the numbers in their ministry. He’s got a sick agenda. Please see the trivium study section to the left.
In 375 CE, Epiphanius, Biship of Constantia, described the similarities between Jesus’ birth and the pagan winter solstice celebrations. About 1,000 years later, in the 14th century, the Church attempted to censure this evidence, but an original, uncensored copy was later discovered and is presented below. As noted scholar G.R.S. Mead relates on the Epiphanius text:
Epiphaneus states “22,8 And how many other things have been done and are being done because of, and in testimony to this calculation, I mean of Christ’s birth?”. Here he admits that Christ’s birth is based on solar calculations, and then caveats in a shallow attempt to show Christ as the original reason for the December celebrations.
Christian Rätsch Ph.D. further relates in Pagan Christmas:
Hi, thank you for the detailed reply. Frankly, I do not disagee with your decision not to interview him after reading your feedback. When I heard him on James’ show, I was actually hollering at the computer speakers, and not in PG rated language…LOL. I figured you might want to take him to task, at least. One point he made over and over, and James mildly reinforced, which was surprising, was that he ‘had a $1,000 challenge out there that nobody has ever taken him up on’ to disprove any of his Zeitgeist debunking. WTFO? Later on, I was kind of hoping that James would put him opposite Joseph Atwill, for instance, at least to explore and challenge Mr. White’s strange and unfortunate attachment to myths like Jesus.
Also, I have studied your Trivium offerings, as well as Gene’s other work that he was kind enough to share with me. Great work, and it has allowed me to approach the world from a much more liberated mental vantage. Your work has opened doors for many folks in my sphere of influence with whom I could not reach a common ground beforehand. Thanks much.
Acharya is one of the greatest scolars of our time.
One must really respect her for her depth and courage and immense productivity.
And as we hear in these interviews: for her liberating sense of humour 🙂
I guess she needs it – as do we all – knowing what absurdities she is up against.
And thanks to Jan Irwin for two great interviews.
Another good one, Jan! Right on! Keep it up (=
I wonder how Acharya learnt all of those languages ? After several years, I can speak two well, a third somewhat well, and a fourth a little.
