Great episode! Earlier today I watched Gnostic Media’s “Orson Welles’ War Of The Worlds: Prototype of Panic, with Dr. Hans Utter #239” — highly recommend. Over 2 hours but well worth the time to understand the origins of UFOs in our culture and the psycho’s at the top of the control grid using media to manipulate people. First time I heard the radio broadcast in entirety, as I’ve only heard snippets in the past. I had no idea Princeton University was tied in to the “War of the Worlds” broadcast. Getting to see actual video of the dedicated park and Grovers Mill from Jan’s visit was a plus.

I’m dating myself, but I grew up with the tv show “The Twilight Zone.” There were many references in those shows that made clear we are all just an ant farm experiment — that’s the message I got from it anyway. I have lived for years within 30 miles of a military air base, and I’ve seen unusual space craft that I don’t attribute to aliens from outer space. Sad thing is I’ve known people over the years who believe in space aliens as if they were gods — either the good ones are coming to save the planet and us from ourselves, and/or the bad ones are coming to harvest us. I admit it’s a seductive proposition the gods are coming to save us. Interesting info the “grey” alien depiction came from Crowley, and not initially from the Roswell, New Mexico space alien crash. The lies seem to get thinner over time and it’s more difficult to keep people believing in them, especially when we have Jan and Joe, and company, providing facts and evidence we have been duped.

    Jan,
You mentioned Graham Hancock, and lumped him in with McKenna and some others. This may be deserved, due to his recent woo-woo blarf he has out after taking ayahuasca (which I’ve ignored). His work on ancient civilizations (no aliens required) seems very well reasurched and very well thought out. I admire the intellect of both Jan and Joe and would very much benefit from your opinions on the things he’s come up with. I’m sure Jan would never admit to subjecting himself to the mind numbing JRE, but Graham has been on there many times, along with Randall Carlson. And they are very information rich episodes.

Nonsense. Check out Jason Colavito who’s spent years debunking Hancock’s crap research. Hancock makes the stuff up. Not only that, he’s slandered me publicly for daring to question his rhetoric. I’ve been on JRE. Joe and I were friends for nearly a decade until I went on his show exposing Wasson and the real MKULTRA agenda. He’s the main guy behind promoting that crap these days. Everyone’s got their heroes.

Not sure what was nonsense, but thanks for the info. I’ll read what the guy has to say. I listened to your Rogan interview at the time you were on, and don’t think it was Joe’s reaction to what you were saying about Wasson and other things that made the interview go bad, but the way you were trying to present it. He kind of has the intellect of a little kid, and I think he may have gone to these places and helped get this info out if he was led better. He’s not really quick enough to be pushed. Anyway thanks for the mans name, I’ll read what he has to say.

Hey Jan. I wanted to mention something about the Rogan situation.

Firstly understand that I have been following and thoroughly enjoying your work for about a year now. I highly respect you and Atwill.

I listened to the JRE episode where you bring up MKULTRA and the Wasson documents (the falling out episode), where you repeatedly said [paraphrase] “but I have the documents!” when Joe wasn’t trying to go there

It seems what you are missing, what is going over your head, is the SOCIAL aspect of dealing with people, especially people like Joe on his own show.

This is not a personal slander against you. I only intend to send you an anonymous constructive critique, so this is the only forum I know how to reach you on and decided to comment here.

You DO come across quite harsh and forceful when recording your various interviews, whether it be your shows or you as guest on somebody else’s.

The fact is, people need to be lead gradually, when the time is right. Screaming ‘but I have the documents!’ when someone is just trying to have a light conversation and joke around is the prime example.

You were essentially trying to dive into the depths of a core “conspiracy theory” in the middle of a quiet dinner party. NOT THE TIME AND PLACE man 😉

In fact, it was pretty obvious that Joe was intentionally making even MORE jokes and prods at you because could tell you began ‘trying too hard’.

And I understand, there’s an attitude which the masses of people have of always wanting to have a good time instead of get down to facts… which can be EXTREMELY disheartening to people like us who value intellect, truth, and getting to the real meat of things.

All I’m saying is there are often times when I listen to your various appearances, in which I personally have had to remind myself to look past your abrasive demeanor, to be able to listen to the INFO you are bringing.

You interrupt people constantly. In your comment responses here, you use belittling language (case in point: your response to merf berf above began with “Nonsense.” – everything about merf berfs question was a sincere request for your opinion.

It is near-insane (out of touch with reality), to expect most people to change their dispositions in the moment. Some social graces will get you and your information MUCH further.

This is something you and I have had to wrestle with since middle/high school. It’s like trying to learn to be around women. All social interactions require a soft touch, and exposing people to extremely troubling info such as MKULTRA ubiquity does indeed require finesse.

Straight up, Joe Rogan just doesn’t like you anymore. I don’t see a collusion to out you. He doesn’t want to hang out with someone with such terrible personal interaction habits.

You’re entirely wrong, and Joe interrupted for dick jokes, and he promotes that entire agenda. I stopped being friends with Joe, not the other way around. I appreciate your ignorance of the facts and history, and your fallacious analysis. You’re like one of 5 who supported Joe fallacious attacks, while I got about 1200 emails supporting me. I do hope you learn some critical thinking though and use that in place of your fallacious excuses for clear disinformation and spin by someone who promotes “the stoned ape” and Dennis McKenna, et al. I assume this latest Unspun is some sort of in-joke. I mean, has anyone else (banned from comments, like me) noticed that you’ve given up even on the pretense of non-fallacious argument? Can you quote even one sentence that is evidentiary in any way, re the existence or non-existence of UFOs (unidentified flying objects)?

I know: A better question might be Why am I bothering?

Concerning Mr Whitley Strieber what I found fascinating about him is he does not jump to the conclusion that his experiences are necessarily encounters with extraterrestrials.

    https://youtu.be/82aSUlzMmJc

Strieber discusses the savageries committed upon unwitting human subjects by the CIA’s MK Ultra project (officially between 1953 and 1973) and he doesn’t rule out the possibility that his experiences may be the product of such a project and that indeed, this would need to be ruled out first before taking on more exotic hypothesis.

For shure the world would have needed much more Jaques Valee personalities to get any usefull answers.
I don’t know the stance today that Mr Strieber holds, would be interesting to know maybe an invite on Unspun and a good discussion between the Joe, Jan and Mr Strieber?

You guys love ‘primary citations.’ Well, knock yourselves out: https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/collection/ufos-fact-or-fiction

Yes, because the CIA NEVER puts out disinformation – especially about their own ops.

Well, Jan, does the same go for your famous Wasson ‘smoking gun’ document?

    • August 10, 2016 at 6:03 pm

Well, duh, Allan, and I’ve crossed checked it via MANY sources. Obviously not just one, and, btw, when John D. Marks (assistant to the Director, Bureau of Intelligence and Research) wrote about the very same document in The Search for the Manchurian Candidate, he lied about what it said. We actually pulled up the original and… well, read it. I also filled in the omitted words by cross checking his personal letters – which had dates that coincided with the CIA’s document. It’s clear there obviously are some inserted files throughout MKULTRA documents – that’s why we cross check, do background research, etc. Obviously I don’t base my conclusions on Wasson from one document, and I also have hundreds of pages from the CFR archives, as well as his personal letters that I’ve pulled from universities all around the country, as well as checking his primary sources, so your point is stupid, and moot – as always. You should read my work, like Spies in Academic Clothing, where this is all laid out step by step.

The Grandfather of ALL THE ufo nonsense is George Adamski from the early 50’s. A direct link to the CIA, Intelligence Community and a Cult Leader. Check him out….
