Welcome
Gnostic Media is open-source, independent media that pulls you outside of the box and into the heart of cognizance itself. Here the word ‘gnostic’ pertains to knowledge and not necessarily dogmatic ‘Gnostic’ teachings. The word gnostic has its origins in the word ‘knowledge’ or ‘to know’ [a. Gr. γνῶσις investigation, knowledge, f. γνω- root of γιγνώσκειν to know.].
Topics of investigation include: Education and the 7 liberal arts (the trivium and quadrivium), the mystery schools, mythology, theology, shamanism, entheogens, archaeoastronomy, politics, economics, philosophy, physics, consciousness, diet, health, and much more.
By bringing together leading academic and independent scholars and providing with them a platform to present their ideas and research in full, we’re able to help facilitate and deepen understanding in these related fields – not only for the listening audience – but for everyone involved. So sit back and relax as we take you on a journey to the deepest recesses of your body and soul.

Irvin, however has uncovered documentary evidence which points to the possibility of a secret history of the mushroom in the elite power structures of the West, and to the life and times of Gordon Wasson himself. Two Beers with Steve interviews Jan Irvin
Jan Irvin, host of the popular Gnostic Media podcast stops by to talk about the Trivium education. This podcast covers a general overview of what the Trivium is and how a knowledge of the Trivium can help you discern what is ‘true’ from what is fallacious. The Trivium is an ancient method of critical thinking that has three components; grammar, logic, and rhetoric. These three components make up the only three of the seven Liberal Arts. The other four concepts are covered in the Quadrivium (but we did not cover that in this episode). Jan explains how the sophisticated class (the elites, the sophists, the powerful) has employed the...
